Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Leondre Lattimore captures the African American experience in the Southern Great Plains through figurative painting. Lattimore combines history and culture by creating imagery inspired by people, places, events, and his own lived experiences. Lattimore's goal is to document, acknowledge, and honor the impact and presence of Black Americans of both the past and present.   

 

Lattimore received his Bachelor's degree in Studio Art from Oklahoma City University and his MPA from the University of Oklahoma. Lattimore works as a project manager for the City of Oklahoma City, primarily managing their 1% for Public Art program. Lattimore is a Next Gen Under 30 Oklahoma recipient.
